what we offer
Since 2010, The Mindfulness Institute.ca, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has been an international resource for the latest information on mindfulness, and a leader in teaching and integrating mindfulness into personal life and professional settings. We offer in-person and online programs in Edmonton and present workshops across North America.
Our instructors are qualified and dedicated mindfulness teachers who share our commitment to meeting the highest standards for mindfulness training and teacher training. We require our instructors to adhere to the rigorous standards for professional development set out by the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School; the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Trainer Organisations (Good Practice Guidelines); and the International Mindfulness Integrity Network (IMI Network). Our Founder, Dr. Catherine Phillips, was a nominated representative of the IMI Network, which established Ethics and Standards for Mindfulness-Based Programs.
Our work in mindfulness has included teaching the renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, as well as mindfulness programs designed for healthcare and other professionals, hosting the International Conference for Mindfulness with Youth (2011), offering customized presentations and workshops, and providing individual consultation, mentorship, and supervision.
